Happy (Almost) Spring!

Hi friends! Happy March and happy almost spring!

I am absolutely craving spring + summer. If you know me, then you know that summer is my favorite season. I love spending time at the beach and in the sunshine. I cannot wait for long beach days, bowls from High Tide, visits to Indigo Octopus and fresh kombucha from Real Raw. All the beach rituals are calling my name!

Since I always try and sprinkle in some sort of inspiration, I wanted to share a little glimpse at what’s been going on in the studio as of late…along with what I am reaching for with spring coming :)

On one of the warmer spring days this past week, I opened up all the windows in the studio and cleansed my space. I am talking full cleaning mode, along with a little sage refresh of the space. I love doing this to reset my space. It truly brings a lighter feeling and uplifts the vibe of my workspace.

With fashion, lighter linens and cotton have been the vibe as of late. I feel like everyone is kindaaa ready to move on from the thicker knits, right? I have been building my spring wardrobe and it’s looking a little something like this…

01. Linens (duh!) - oversized + boxy linen button downs (preferably from the men’s section at the thrift) - perfect for layering or wearing as a throw-over work shirt

02. Denim denim denim - i am always obsessed with denim, but lately I’ve been loving all of the vintage denim jeans I can find. I prefer a slouchy straight or wide and baggy leg look, but sometimes a little taper is OK for me too.

03. Patch-front pants - think Jesse Kamm / Rudy Jude vibes…I love a patch-front handy pant or carpenter jean look. All about the blend of a more masculine utility / workwear look with a feminine vibe. Ya? Ya.

04. Mended mended mended - we love mended pieces! I recently dropped a little mini collection of 6 pieces that were either a fav vintage find / slightly mended by me. Either adding new buttons, a subtle patch, or a stitching detail. It’s all about the little details with mending.

05. And last but not least, layering maxi dresses with sneaks / ankle boots - again with the boy/girl vibe of mixing feminine and masculine, I love playing around with a dress and making it feel not so “girly.” The cotton gauze maxi dress I shared on my Insta the other day was a biiiig fav, so I am on the lookout for more spring / summer dresses for you. :)

Let me know what you’re ISO for spring / what you are on the lookout for, so I can keep an eye out too! Always love manifesting all the vintage / thrift finds with you!

Thanks for being here, as always.

xx. mads
